The 4k has a slightly better processor on paper, as well as slightly more ram (2 gb vs 1.5 gb). The HD only supports HDR10, and not Dolby vision, if that matters to you. The HD version decodes AV1 video, while the 4k does not. Those are all the difference, I think. I have both, and cannot tell the difference when using them.
