When it comes to team-based gaming, Guild Wars 2 is notable for relying on DPS (i.e. Damage Per Second) a lot. Groups must appreciate the nitty-gritty aspects of DPS mechanics if they are to fully exploit their potential. This manual examines the present-day DPS tier list and gives useful information on the best builds and how they work well in different situations. 1. WvW roaming. Around 7-8 again. So as a measure of whether it’s diverse, the answer to me is no…and this amount is somewhat universal across all the classes not just thief. Most builds that you can make in this game are not useful, and or are so similar to one another that the diversity is considered low. Virtuoso, both power and condi, is incredibly easy. Power soulbeast has multiple variants that use axe/axe and then a different weapon in the set. Longbow, greatsword, or even warhorn. Condi soulbeast uses shortbow dagger/dagger. If you're bored of longbow, learn the greatsword rotation, or the warhorn rotation. Or try condi. Staff- Less burst, more sustain damage, more utility, more cleave, long-ranged. Scepter- Can either be bursty or sustain-y, single target, mid-ranged. Cele weaver can use all of its main hand weapons which allows it to be more versatile compared to most classes that like to stick to one or two mainhands at most. 1. The classes that can technically run double swords are Mesmer, Revenant, and Warrior. From an endgame PvE perspective: Mesmer or Revenant (both will have to be power to run double swords, so you'll be looking at Chronomancer for Mesmer) Both Herald and Renegade can be played with double swords, but Renegade "Support" (it's often just a dps that brings cc and a buff called alacrity, but in some JDaRGq8. Effectively, the top DPS build for every class (but Warrior) is a condition build. It's unclear if Warrior performs better on condi or power in terms of pure DPS. Just 3 months ago, Warrior happened to have a 39k power DPS benchmark, and I can't find a more recent Condition benchmark than this one. Members. 843. Posted August 27, 2022. For raw DPS, Berserker is very good, although a decent core build can do decent DPS while at the same time being more durable. Whichever way you go, use Berserker stat gear, with maybe two or three Assassin stat trinkets to get critical chance to 70%. Firebrand: With good DPS and utility, Firebrand is always a safe pick. Hollowsmith: This build got a significant boost from the expansion, making it a viable choice. Revenant: Harbinger is known for its damage output, though it may provide less utility. Spellbreaker: A good option for damage, surpassing many other builds. Great burst and sustained damage more than make up for the fully melee requirement, squishiness and forced movement. Very strong in fractals and even stronger in raids. High damage with good mobility and being actually fun to play (unlike Staff Weaver) makes this among the best choices for small hitbox bosses. Mesmer - Greatsword can be ok for a little bit of ranged. Virtuoso's daggers are really good and almost all ranged. Elementalist - Staff isn't meta but is definitely ranged. Scepter allows a bit of ranged but I only see it on tempest which wants to be in melee for overloads.
